Workshops 

Terms And Conditions 

 

  • – Workshop fees must be paid in full when you enrol as you are making a commitment to the whole term. Part payments will only be accepted where a specific arrangement has been made with St Martins Youth Arts Centre management. 
  • – Enrolments are only accepted with payment, including refundable trials.  
  • – Refundable trials are only for new participants and only for the first week of each term. 
  • – There are a maximum number of students for each workshop, so book early to avoid disappointment. Enrolment may not guarantee a place in the workshops. If all workshop places are filled, a refund will be given.  
  • – There are also a minimum number of participants for each workshop. If, after the first two weeks of term, there are not enough participants for the workshop to go ahead, the workshop will be cancelled. You may be offered a place in another workshop, or a refund will be given. 
  • – Only participants, Workshop Artists or St Martins staff may enter the workshop space. Nobody else, including parents and carers, may enter the space unless invited by a St Martins staff member.  
  • – Any feedback or communications are to be directed to St Martins office staff rather than directly to the Workshop Artists. 
  • – St Martins Youth Arts Centre does not accept responsibility for any personal property left at any of our workshop locations. 
  • – Any personal information you give to St Martins will be collected, used and stored solely in accordance with our Privacy Policy. 
  • – There are no after-care facilities at St Martins. Pick-ups need to be punctual, or additional fees will be charged to compensate staff. 
  • – St Martins is committed to inclusion and access, but it is not a health care provider. Any pre-existing medical or behavioural conditions must be discussed with St Martins prior to enrolment to assess that the needs of a participant can be managed without compromising the welfare and enjoyment of other participants. 
  • – St Martins reserves the right to decline an enrolment. 
  • – St Martins reserves the right to remove a participant from a workshop at any time, without providing a refund nor explanation. 
  • – Participants may request to transfer to a different workshop offered by St Martins Youth Arts Centre, but there are no guarantees transfer requests can be accommodated. 

 

Workshops Refund Policy 

  • – For all new participants, we offer a one-week free trial session. If the participant does not wish to continue for the term, St Martins Youth Arts Centre must be notified in writing of their cancellation before the second workshop of the term to be eligible for a refund. 
  • – For all other participants, full refunds are only eligible if St Martins Youth Arts Centre is notified in writing of their cancellation at least one week before the workshop start date. 
  • – No refunds will be provided for cancellations made after the second workshop of the term, with two exceptions: 
  • – If the workshop is cancelled by St Martins due to unforeseen circumstances, participants will receive a partial refund in accordance with the number of classes cancelled. 
  • – If a participant withdraws from a workshop due to unforeseen circumstances (such as illness) a partial refund in accordance with the number of classes cancelled will be considered if requested in writing within one month of withdrawal. 
  • – No refunds will be provided if a participant is removed due to misconduct or if after the first week a participant changes their mind. 
  • – Administrative fees may be deducted from any refunds. 

 

Workshops Behaviour Policy  

St Martins Youth Arts Centre is committed to promoting and protecting the interests and safety of children, young adults, vulnerable people, and people at risk. All people, regardless of their gender, race, religious beliefs, age, disability, sexual orientation, or family or social background, have equal rights to protection from abuse, harm and discrimination. 

St Martins has a zero-tolerance policy towards any form of threatening behaviour and abuse, which includes any verbal, physical and/or sexual abuse directed at any workshop participants, Workshop Artists and/or St Martins staff. 

Any workshop participant exhibiting threatening or abusive behaviour will be asked to leave the workshop, for their safety and that of others, and follow up action will be taken with parents/guardians.
