Zadie Kennedy Mccracken (they/them) is a Naarm-based writer, producer, and theatre-maker. As a writer, they are interested in exploring patriarchal injustice, queer intimacy, and the politics of desire; as a producer and maker, they primarily work in queer, feminist, emerging and youth arts spaces. Zadie has worked with Melbourne Theatre Company, Pony Cam, La Mama, Darebin Arts, Melbourne Fringe, Wit Incorporated, Theatre Works, MPavilion, fortyfivedownstairs, Arts Centre Melbourne, and Union House Theatre. In 2025, they completed a residency at La Mama Theatre and are producing Emma Louise Pursey’s Where Is Joy? for fortyfivedownstairs. They are proud to be a Workshop Artist at St Martins Youth Arts Centre. Most of Zadie’s work is about love and what to do with it.
