Gemma Livingstone (she/her)

Devisor and Director

Gemma is an emerging director, performer and operatic soprano. She has a passion for storytelling and is motivated to create new ways to engage audiences. Her creative credits span across independent theatre and classical music. As an accomplished theatre-maker, her credits include producing CabFest, an online cabaret festival of 40+ acts, stage managing school musicals at The National Theatre in St Kilda, and in 2023 she made her directorial debut with, She Kills Monsters for Melbourne Fringe (Monash Uni Student Theatre), one of “the most ambitious productions … witnessed from a student group” (theatre travels).

Additionally, Gemma co-created an immersive digital show, Asynchrony: An Interactive Minecraft Experience, which had returning seasons at Edinburgh Fringe and went on to win a best in digital/interactive weekly award at Adelaide Fringe Festival (2022). Her acting credits include Baily in Temporals snaps (2025, Chapel off Chapel), Lydia in For Mother (2024, Malvern Theatre Company) Cinderella in Into the Woods (2022, MUST), and Bekken in Kill Climate Deniers (2022, MUST). She has studied at Monash University, where she completed a Bachelor of Arts/Music in theatre and music, and finished her Music Honours last year at the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music.
