Anka Strauss Kosanović (she/her)

Devisor, Sound Design and Actor

Anka is a performer, writer, hobbyist painter and third culture individual. Born and raised in the United Arab Emirates by parents from two different countries, she furthered her cultural confusion by moving to Perth at the age of 13 to attend John Curtin College of the Arts before spending a year studying classical voice at WAAPA. She moved to Sydney the following year for a two-year Diploma of Musical Theatre at Brent Street, graduating in 2024. Highlights of her time in Sydney include staging a cabaret segment at Sydney Fringe Festival and playing historically queer pirate Anne Bonny in the workshop performance of Bonny and Read for Shopfront Arts Co-Op’s ArtsLab Festival. Now happily Melbourne-based, Anka is excited to continue pursuing her passion for original and unusual works of theatre whilst enjoying all that being an emerging artist has to offer!
