Damien is a Non-Executive Director and Chair of Governance at St Martins, and a highly credentialed governance and transformation executive, bringing more than two decades of leadership experience across law, finance, strategy and organisational renewal in ASX-listed, government, tier 1 professional services and not-for-profit sectors. He is the Founder and Principal of Avaer Advisory, a national firm specialising in restructuring, transformation and strategic value preservation. Previously, Damien held senior roles with Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer, leading complex, multi-jurisdictional transformation programs. Damien is a Fellow of the Governance Institute of Australia and a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. He is an admitted solicitor and barrister, a registered mediator and an investigative accountant, and holds a Bachelor of Commerce, Juris Doctor, MBA and Master of Laws, with postgraduate qualifications in financial analysis, insolvency and mediation.
