The Playground Project - Prahran

At St Martins, we believe that diversity of voices creates a socially conscious, engaged community and ultimately, better art.

We work across a number of locations to give a broad range of children and teenagers access to the arts.

Since 2013, we’ve been running a weekly arts program at the Horace Petty Estate in Prahran.

Supported by a team of youth workers from Stonnington Youth Services, these fun and creative workshops cover such art forms as theatre, music, dance, circus, visual arts, puppet making, photography, beat boxing, and storytelling.

We now engage with over 100 community members annually. Whether they connect with us as artists, devisors or audiences.

Every year the program focuses on a different skill with the aim of creating a culture of creativity, leadership and community engagement for and by young people.

The Playground Project is a free program that is open to members of the Horace Petty Estate community.

For more information, contact Alex.

The Playground Project is supported by Stonnington Community Grants, Artists for Kids Culture, Prahran Rotary Club and the Collier Charitable Fund.
