Sebastian Fowler (he/him)

WORKSHOP ARTIST

Sebastian Fowler is an animator, illustrator, teaching artist and performer from Melbourne. As an Australian Youth Ambassador for Development in Mongolia in 2006, Sebastian was a founding creator of the youth TV program and web project, VoiceBox. 

Since earning his Masters in Animation & Interactive Media at RMIT in 2013, he has worked on music videos, web series, theatre projections, and award winning documentaries & short films. His work has screened at SanDiego Comic Con, Melbourne International Animation Festival, St Kilda Film Festival, ABC Kids, Melbourne Fringe, La Mama Courthouse and online. His animation for theatre includes Demi Sorono’s A Touch of Grace (2015) and Maurial Spearim’s BlaaQ Catt (2016). 

Sebastian received a Wheeler Centre Hot Desk Fellowship in 2014 to work on his children’s graphic novel Bat the Raven and has been a member of Footscray Community Arts Centre’s West Writer’s Group. 

Sebastian has been working as a teaching artist with Arts Access Victoria since 2015 and has facilitated and performed with Echo Collective in the web series Channel Echo (2020) Something Else at Arts Centre Melbourne (2019), Voyage at Arts Centre Melbourne (2017) and Leap at Melbourne Fringe (2016).
