Argonaut Ensemble & More

Soundtracks is a pioneering contemporary art intervention. It is a live commentary by an extraordinary ensemble of children aged 5-18 of canonical and contemporary performance. The work is an innovative, personal and augmented experience for contemporary arts punters who are looking for an encounter, which is poignant, authentic and at times whimsical.

200 Years of Australian Fashion For this iteration, members of St Martins Congress will discuss the exhibition 200 Years of Australian Fashion as part of the Virgin Australia Melbourne Fashion Festival Cultural Program. Staged across four large galleries, 200 Years of Australian Fashion celebrates Australia’s unique voice and impact on the fashion industry internationally, showcasing the work of contemporary designers such as Dion Lee, Ellery, Romance Was Born and Toni Maticevski alongside key designs from the past 200 years, including exquisite examples of historic design.

Sur Incises For this iteration, St Martins was invited by the Bendigo International Festival of Exploratory Music (BIFEM) to augment the Argonaut Ensemble's performance of Sur Incises.

Crossing Paths with Vivian Maier For this iteration, St Martins was invited by the Centre for Contemporary Photography (CCP) and Melbourne Festival to augment the exhibition Crossing Paths with Vivian Maier.

During her lifetime, Vivian Maier (1926—2009) produced more than 100,000 photographic images, which remained largely undiscovered until after her death. CCP celebrates this reluctant artist's timely relevance, juxtaposing her work with contemporary Australian photography, performance and video.
