A story about a moment, big or small
Last year, in October, it was the last rehearsal day for Escape Velocity Walks the City. We had mapped out our routes and had done a trial run. I remember that we were gathered in Fed Square and were getting ready to walk back to the Arts Centre. It had been a nice spring day and the sun was starting to set over the city skyline. As we stood there for a while, I remember feeling safe in public for the first time because I was with other trans people like me. It made me realise that life was about the connections that you make with people along the way and that it is through community and togetherness that we get our strength.
Wolfie recently finished a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre and Performance. They are currently working on a performance art piece about queerness, religion, and St Sebastian.
